We're Hiring
SOCIAL MEDIA & CONTENT MANAGER
- Byron Bay
- Permanent part-time
- Approximately two days per week
About The Harmonic
The Harmonic is an Australian circular-fashion platform specialising in premium pre-loved fashion, designer consignment and exclusive archive collections from leading Australian brands.
With weekly fashion drops, eBay Live events, brand partnerships and an upcoming influencer wardrobe series, we have no shortage of great stories and content. We’re looking for someone creative, commercially minded and social-first to bring it all to life.
About the role
We’re looking for a hands-on Social Media & Content Manager to take ownership of our social channels, grow our community and help turn great content into engagement, traffic and sales.
You’ll lead our Instagram content and help develop and grow our TikTok presence, working closely with our founders, team and paid social agency.
This isn’t simply a scheduling role. You’ll develop the strategy, spot content opportunities, film and edit short-form video, write strong copy and use performance insights to understand what is actually working.
The role will initially be approximately two days per week, primarily from our Byron Bay studio, with some flexibility around shoots, eBay Lives, events and key campaigns.
We’re looking for someone who wants to become a valued part of the team and help shape The Harmonic’s next stage of growth. Additional hours may be available during busy periods, with the opportunity for the role to grow as the business grows.
What you’ll be doing
- Develop and manage The Harmonic’s Instagram and TikTok content strategy.
- Plan, film, edit and publish Reels, TikToks, Stories and feed content.
- Create content around weekly drops, shoots, eBay Lives, brand partnerships and influencer collaborations.
- Work closely with our founders, models and team to capture engaging, natural content.
- Collaborate with our paid social agency to develop, test and boost high-performing organic and paid content.
- Write captions and social copy in The Harmonic’s brand voice.
- Manage the weekly content calendar and day-to-day community engagement.
- Identify trends and turn them into content that feels relevant to our brand.
- Track performance and use the results to improve reach, engagement, traffic and sales.
- Confidently work behind the camera and occasionally appear in content.
About you
You’re creative, proactive and genuinely interested in fashion, culture and digital content. You understand what makes people stop scrolling, but you also understand that likes alone don’t pay the bills.
You’ll ideally have:
- Experience managing social media or creating content for a fashion, beauty, lifestyle, retail or e-commerce brand.
- A strong understanding of Instagram, Reels and TikTok.
- Excellent short-form video filming and editing skills.
- Confidence using Canva, CapCut or similar tools.
- Strong writing skills and an excellent eye for tone and detail.
- The confidence to direct models, founders, team members and collaborators.
- A commercial mindset and an understanding of how content supports brand growth and sales.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to work independently within a fast-moving business.
- Professional photography experience is welcome but not essential. We care more about your creative instincts, ideas and ability to execute.
Role details
- Permanent part-time position.
- Approximately 16 hours or two days per week initially.
- Primarily based at our Byron Bay studio.
- Some flexibility required around shoots, eBay Lives, events and key campaigns.
- Additional hours may be available during busy periods, with the opportunity for the role to grow as The Harmonic grows.
- Salary negotiated based on experience.
How to apply
Please send the following to hello@theharmonic.com.au:
- A short introduction.
- Your CV or relevant experience.
- Examples of social accounts, videos or content you’ve created.
We’re far more interested in your ideas, taste and ability to execute than a perfectly polished corporate application.
If this sounds like you, we’d genuinely love to hear from you. We’re a close, collaborative team, and we’re excited to find someone who wants to grow with The Harmonic and play a meaningful role in what comes next.
